Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCA, LCMHC) to join our dynamic mental health team. This vital role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. As a counselor, you will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans to empower individuals on their journey toward mental wellness. Duties

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavioral change.
• Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender issues, and geriatrics.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; accurately record progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using ICD coding standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Offer telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health support beyond traditional settings.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCA or LCMHC).
• Proven experience in psychotherapy with diverse client populations; familiarity with behavioral health treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and geriatrics is preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care including PTSD support.
• Proficiency in medical terminology related to behavioral health; experience with medical records management under HIPAA guidelines.
• Competence in conducting intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations via telehealth or in-person settings within outpatient or inpatient environments.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Additional certifications such as addiction counseling, grief counseling, or specialized therapies are advantageous but not required. Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
