About the Job:Ultimate Image Printing services small- to mid-sized companies nationwide. Our projects are seen throughout industries such as retail stores, experiential events, sporting stadiums, and commercial office spaces. Our continued growth and investment in new technologies have created the need for a qualified Production Designer.As a rapidly growing company, we are looking for qualified production designers to help with our continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate would be able to work efficiently in Adobe Creative Suite, preparing proofs for customers and creating print files, and have an understanding of the operation of wide- and grand-format printers. Note, a majority of the workload will be production design (setting up print files, proofing, working with the production team), with 10-20% of the workload being creative design. Experience in print production is required.The right candidate must have a basic understanding of printing and graphics terminology, excellent computer skills, as well as experience with handling customer-supplied files. We will train the candidate to process files to fit within our workflow, digital printers, and finishing equipment.Required Skills and Key Responsibilities:Ability to multitask.Ability to understand measurements and fractions.Ability to recognize and visually differentiate colors.Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize work. and minimize production downtime.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMechanically inclined, good with hands.Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Team Player.Ability to lift, move, load, and unload rolls of paper and board substrates into the machines.Keep work areas neat, clean, and keep materials and tools organized.Work overtime as needed.Keeps accurate timekeeping of work.Flexible work schedule. e.g., mandatory shifts can change from 8 hours to 10 hours.Ability to work independently and without supervision.Ability to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts.
