Ultimate Biomedical has an exciting opportunity to join our company - This would be a solid opportunity for the BMET looking to advance in their career . UBS is seeking a BMET I/ FSE who is eager to grow in the medical device repair industry. Technician will be required to start day Austin, Texas and will be asked to travel daily to various locations around Austin, Texas.
In this role you will be responsible for identification and resolution of customer issues pertaining to medical equipment maintenance on all types of medical devices which include but are not limited to: Patient Monitors, Defibrillators, ESU’s, Centrifuges, Sterilizers, Blanket warmers & surgical devices. To perform day to day functions of biomed department including but not limited to: Inventory, Electrical/ Mechanical Repairs, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Data management for multi-vendor devices. Applicant will need to be efficient in: time management, documentation, and service call prioritization. Applicant will need to participate in ‘on-call’ responsibility after probationary period. This is a fast-paced role that requires mental readiness to adapt quickly to changes & open communication with leadership.
The BMET candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
- Customer interactions must maintain a high level of professionalism, a sense of urgency, and present the organization in the best light possible.
- Establish and engage in proactive daily communications with customers to ensure speedy resolution and proper follow-up leading to customer satisfaction.
- Be able to operate under the required knowledge of regulatory requirements, performance standards, UBS policies, customer policies, and safety requirements.
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Teammates, and leadership
- Assist customers with training needs, part identification and reports when needed.
- Manage company assets effectively including labor time, parts inventory levels, tools, test equipment calibration, customer purchase orders, equipment, business expenditures, etc.
- Perform all administrative duties in a complete and timely manner including timesheets, service activity reporting, expense reports, preventative maintenance documentation, and other related paperwork.
To be considered for this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent training/experience in electronics or Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience with mechanical devices and tools and test equipment. Must possess demonstrated skills in using biomedical analyzers, digital multimeter, etc.
- Applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs to perform this job.
- Must arrive on time to work daily
- Must possess a valid driver’s license & clean record.
