As a Cashier, you’ll create positive connections with every Customer who walks through our doors. You’ll provide fast, friendly service, keep our store clean and organized, and help make each stop at Ultimart a great one. Every Cashier plays an important role in our success and we can’t wait to meet you!
A Day in the Life:
You’ll spend your day helping Customers, keeping the store stocked and sparkling, and working together with your team to make things run smoothly. You’ll process transactions, offer friendly suggestions to Customers, and help keep everything safe, clean, and inviting.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:
• Processing cash, debit, credit, and check transactions accurately using a cash register
• Keeping the store clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Staying calm and positive during busy times to set a great example
• Delivering outstanding Customer service with a smile
• Using suggestive selling to enhance the Customer experience and increase sales
• Following all laws and regulations for gas, alcohol, and tobacco sales
• Acting with integrity and professionalism in everything you do
• Following company policies, especially for cash handling and safety
• Showing up on time and ready to work your shift
• Being a great teammate and helping out wherever needed
• Maintaining a clean, polished appearance in the designated uniform
What You’ll Bring:
• A friendly attitude and strong communication skills
• The ability to learn quickly and follow directions
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others
• The ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Must be at least 18 years old
When You’ll Work:
We’re looking for someone with flexible availability who can work closing shifts. Closing shifts start in the afternoon and go until we close at 10 PM. (11 PM at our Randolph and Ripon locations.) The schedule changes weekly, and we post it one week in advance.
