Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition or behavior accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and home community care principles.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and social work practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Proficient in assisting clients with daily tasks while promoting independence.
