*Job Overview* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with clients who may have dementia, autism, or require long-term care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. *Duties* - Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. - Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. - Support clients with medication administration as per their care plans. - Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs, ensuring proper nutrition for clients. - Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary. - Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including direct support for those with autism or dementia. - Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. - Document daily activities and any changes in the client’s condition to ensure effective communication with healthcare professionals. *Requirements* - Previous experience in caregiving or home care settings is preferred. - Knowledge of dementia care and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. - Ability to lift and assist clients physically as needed while ensuring their safety. - Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs. - Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role. - Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
