THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The role of VP Digital Products is a critical leadership position within our Consumer Technology team responsible for defining and driving the overall product strategy in alignment with business & tech partners as well as to our external partner ecosystem. The VP will manage multiple products teams and is responsible for our eCommerce and Martech portfolio of products and platforms ensuring the long-term vision of the products aligns with customer needs and market trends.  This leader will drive product experiences and the product development process across the entire product lifecycle within Ulta Beauty.

 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: 

  • Lead the development and execution of the product strategy defining a product vision that inspires and motivates the product teams and business partners to move in the same direction
  • Drive the delivery of the product roadmap, mobilizing teams, executing for results and making high-level strategic decisions about the product direction balancing the needs of individual teams, our guests and the broader strategy of the organization
  • Executive level stakeholder management and lead cross-functional collaboration with other departments such as marketing, digital and tech to build a shared vision across the enterprise by building a product roadmap which will align with both the go-to-market strategy for the company & with business program leadership
  • Diagnose complex technical and business challenges and find solutions
  • Responsible for the overall product vision and metrics (e.g., objectives & key results (OKRs) fulfillment of the experiences applications being delivered
  • Assess competitive landscape and guide on new guest journeys, features and functionality
  • Oversee the creation of the user experience, partnering cross functionally on the guest journey
  • Lead Product Group Leaders and multiple product group teams to set objectives for Product Management
  • Serve as a main Product business liaison with existing (and potential) strategic vendor partners to understand (and influence) roadmaps to aid our digital experiences
  • Advise on significant innovations which could improve existing business capabilities & experiences or accelerate the creation of new capabilities & experiences

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay informed of consumer, technology, and commerce trends in order to identify new markets and inform future strategy and prioritization in order to drive incremental sales & increase guest satisfaction
  • Serve as an advocate and thought leader for technology and product within the company, while championing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build, grow and support Product Managers, Product Owners and Product Analysts through hiring, coaching (Knowledge Transfer), mentoring, and giving feedback
  • Drive products to achieve success metrics on an ongoing basis throughout the product lifecycle by analyzing and solving the problems of your targeted end users.

 

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 15 years of product leadership experience
  • Experience building and growing multiple product teams that operate autonomously, while sharing responsibility for the guest experience
  • Demonstrated passion for, and the ability to drive, innovation & emerging tech
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in order to understand our rapidly evolving product, business, intellectual property, and guest needs
  • Multiple experiences successfully creating and executing against product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that achieve goals and outcomes
  • Experience evaluating technology solutions for fit and viability against use cases, as well as evaluating the companies for viability
  • Extensive experience selecting and onboarding new partner platforms
  • Exceptional at working with and analyzing user metrics and turning them into actionable insights, including the use of A/B testing and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically while being equally comfortable with long term planning and day-to-day progress tracking and execution
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence peer leaders & align the organization on complex decisions
  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to drive organizational change
  • Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the teams potential
  • Ability to influence people over whom you do not have direct authority

 

The pay range for this position is $210,000.00 - $315,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
