The Senior Product Manager, Digital Product leads a multi-tiered product organization (including Product Managers, Product Owners, & Product Analysts) and is accountable for setting the strategy, development, and performance of guest facing experiences across a portfolio of complex, high-impact products. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for operating with a long-term enterprise view, shaping long-term product vision, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders across the business. This role must operate with a strategic mindset, balancing the guest experience with outcomes, and serve as a thought leader in scaling and evolving our digital capabilities in a rapidly changing environment. This role is directly responsible for the Cart, Checkout, and My Account experiences and plays a critical role in driving conversion outcomes across these guest journeys.
YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
Lead a multi-product portfolio of products & cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact on revenue, guest loyalty and operational efficiency
Own and optimize the end-to-end guest journey across Cart, Checkout, and My Account, with focus on reducing friction and improving conversion
Build and maintain the product roadmap, benefit analysis, feature/function definition, experience design, and objectives & key results for assigned area of responsibility
Make enterprise-level prioritization and investment decisions to maximize the benefit & return to our guests and company based on alignment Ulta Beauty’s strategic priorities
Collaborate with senior leaders and executive stakeholders across Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, Store Operations and Digital to build a shared digital product strategy across the enterprise by building a product roadmap aligned with the enterprise go-to-market strategy
Drive discovery, innovation, and scalability across product areas, often in ambiguous or rapidly evolving domains, through delivery, measurement and iteration
Deliver the product roadmap within time, budget, & quality requirements, while leading post-launch optimization (analytics, feedback, & opportunities) for ongoing prioritization
Manage vendor partners to solve guest & business problems and collaborate to drive for new innovations in products and services that best meet business needs & strategy
Serve as a direct connection to the Product Group Lead while providing input and viewpoints to help influence the evolution of the product roadmap & strategy
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and develop a high performing team of Product Managers, Owners, & Analysts through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and continuous feedback delivery
Stay ahead of consumer, technology, and digital commerce trends to inform future strategy and prioritization required to increase guest satisfaction & revenue
Educates and evangelizes product management best practices and agile methodologies throughout organization to build awareness for impact to business and ensure alignment for cross-team initiatives
Serve as a change leader and trusted strategic advisor, helping to define and shape the future of guest experience through technology
ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required
Eight (8 ) years relevant work experience with at least five (5) years leading digital product portfolios, and at least three (3) years of people management experience
5 years of people leadership with experience
Demonstrated success managing large-scale digital product portfolios
Experience in Retail and/or eCommerce operating in a large-scale agile environment
Exceptional at working with and analyzing user metrics and turning them into actionable insights, including the use of A/B testing and analytics platforms
Deep expertise with Agile delivery, product discovery methods, and modern tooling
Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to drive organizational change
Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the teams’ potential
Strong communicator & collaborator with great written, verbal, & presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA or Master’s degree in strategy, management, or related field is a plus
Certification in Agile and Scrum development practices is a plus
Experience working with vendor partners in the areas of retail subscriptions (e.g. OrderGroove), payments (e.g. Apple, PayPal/Venmo, MasterCard), fraud prevention (e.g. CyberSource), and/or retail marketplaces (e.g. Mirakl)
Experience in digital user experience, research, and analytics
Experience in leading a team of managers
Experience in managing geographically distributed teams
The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $160,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
