THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
As a DC PS Specialist in one of our Distribution Centers, you will provide support to the PS team in the areas of associate onboarding, compliance tracking, associate relations, leave of absence process, training, and procedure development. Ideal candidates for this role will have strong business acumen, excellent organizational and communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with associates, DC leadership and peers. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Respond to internal and external People Success and payroll related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Maintain records of associate-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Complete all time keeping approvals such as manually entering: VTO/OT, Leaving Early, Tardy, PTO, unexcused absences, Bereavement, etc
- Processing and requesting of immediate pay, such as pay cards
- Responsible for the UKG timekeeping system, which includes all punch records for employees
- Determine eligibility for payroll discrepancy. Research issue and confirm with a supervisor before processing
- Perform segments of orientations, and update records with new hires
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by monitoring clearing of background checks and drug tests
- Assist in ad-hoc PS projects
- Liaise with other distribution centers, departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
- Assist supervisors in performance management procedures, including attendance infraction reports/audits and weekly corrective action reports
- Coordinate training sessions on system/policy/culture survey roll-outs to associates
- Processing of manual adjustments, including pay adjustment and payroll deduction forms
- Monitor and maintain PS supply levels
- Maintain PS forms areas and complete monthly audits on PS areas and systems
- Responsible for creating and auditing associates pay change report.
- Respond to general email and phone inquiries directed to the People Success department.
- Support, organize and plan various department meetings and activities.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or 3 years business related work experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance, and Payroll administration and processing in a Distribution Center, Supply Chain Management, or Manufacturing/Industrial environment is preferred
- Technically proficient, particularly in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience working with multiple 3rd party timekeeping and/or payroll software systems (currently in use:UKG, ATS, ADP, SVMS) is preferred
- Knowledge of Wage and Hour Law, Employment Law, and other applicable regulations is preferred
- Prior experience in an administrative role scheduling complex meetings with multiple attendees using MS Outlook preferred.
- Basic understanding of HR concepts, policies, and procedures. Able to troubleshoot issues or make decisions independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision - and at the same time use good judgment on when to escalate issues.
- Proven experience in a role requiring a high degree of organizational skill and a strong sense of urgency; able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a customer service focus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and change direction quickly.
- Professional maturity with an ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and a high degree of ethical standards
- Proficient in English language
The pay range for this position is $27.55 - $35.67 / Hour with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
