Role Description
This is a DC-based temporary intern position for summer 2026 at Ulman Public Policy. While much of our work is virtual, candidates must be available for hearings and meetings in DC. Hours are flexible and can range from 15-40 based on your availability and our needs. The Intern will assist with research, policy analysis, drafting memos, blog posts, etc., and preparing materials for presentations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring legislative developments, supporting advocacy efforts, and collaborating with the team on various public policy projects.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Understanding of public policy concepts and federal government processes
- Proficiency in organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with advocacy and/or legislative monitoring is a plus
- Currently pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economic, Communications, or a related field
