Hot Mix Plant Operator #49

Ulland Brothers, Inc. is a Civil/Highway-Heavy, aggregate, and site development contractor with offices in Carlton, Virginia and Albert Lea, MN. Ulland Brothers has operated in the construction industry for over 100 years. The paving plant operator will operate and perform repairs on the hot mix plant. 

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of hot mix plants and hot mix production. (Willing to train)
• Safety conscious
• Reaching and feeling, overhead lifting, and repetitive motions are required: Talking and hearing; good eyesight (either naturally or with correction); and color discrimination are essential to satisfactory performance.
• Ability to work inside and outside in all types of environments, conditions, weather and seasons.

Responsibilities

• Production of hot mix asphalt including the day-to-day operations and repair of the plant and its components.
• Plan for routine maintenance and long-term equipment component updates.
• Supervise the plant tear-down and set up as required
• Supervise other employees at the plant
• Monitor plant site to ensure safe and efficient truck flow.
• Perform additional assignments as requested including ongoing in person or online training.
