Our Lowell, AR testing laboratory is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Chemistry department! An ideal candidatewill be ready to help our customers and us work toward our goal of making the world a safer, more secure, and sustainable place to live, work, and play.
This role has a schedule of 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday, at our Lowell, AR location.

Responsibilities
- Clean, rinse, and prepare laboratory glassware according to standard procedures.
- Properly label glassware, containers, and samples in accordance with laboratory requirements.
- Safely empty chemical residues from glassware into designated waste containers following waste-handling guidelines.
- Organize, file, and store samples in the retention area to maintain accurate records and accessibility.
- Assist with basic laboratory testing or sample preparation tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, sinks, and storage locations.
- Follow laboratory safety policies, chemical handling procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Notify laboratory staff or supervisors of safety concerns, equipment issues, or procedural deviations.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Higher Secondary Education.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
