Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system troubleshooting and perform repairs on existing HVAC units to optimize performance
- Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance procedures
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, refrigerant recharges, and system inspections to prevent future issues
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for ductwork or component repairs
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with existing property infrastructure
- Maintain detailed service records, complete installation reports, and document all work performed for customer files
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC installation or repair within residential settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and appliance repair
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving equipment repair and property maintenance tasks
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) diagrams effectively
- Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems such as pumps or compressors is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
drivers or similar vehicles preferred - Prior experience working with HVAC design principles, plumbing connections, and refrigeration components will set you apart
