Position Title Physician - Pulmonologist (COPD/Airways Disease Investigator) Bell Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest: The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, is seeking a dedicated COPD/Airways Disease Investigator to join our team at a prestigious tertiary care teaching hospital. The successful candidate will contribute at least 50% of their time to research through clinical trials, translational research, implementation science research and other acceptable methods as outlined for University faculty Key Responsibilities: Research and Development: Establish a Centers for Excellence Program for COPD/Airways Disease at The University of Kansas Health System Seek extramural/intramural funds to support research and scholarship activities Contribute to research through clinical trials, translational research, implementation science and other acceptable methods Medical Care: Provide medical care to pulmonary patients, including inpatient service and ambulatory clinics Teaching and Instruction: Instruct and demonstrate appropriate medical and research techniques to medical students, residents, and fellows Participate in Department and Division educational activities Mission Support: Support the mission of delivering the highest quality of care Fulfill teaching, research, and academic responsibilities We are looking for someone who is passionate about advancing the field of COPD/Airways Disease care through innovative, clinical and translational research, and exceptional patient care.
