Job Summary
Head of Plant I: Under general supervision of the Superintendent or designee, the Head of Plant I coordinates and participates in the custodian program at a small school site or district facility. The Head of Plant I position differs from the Head of Plant II position in that day-to-day coordination of the work activities of other custodian staff is limited to one or two evening Custodians assigned, and differs from the Custodian position in that the Head of Plant I is assigned responsibility for all custodial services at the assigned location. Head of Plant II: Under general supervision of the Superintendent or designee, the Head of Plant II coordinates custodial and building use services, provides day-to-day coordination of work assignments and activities of full-time and part time custodians assigned to the location, and participates in custodial duties. The Head of Plant II differs from the Head of Plant I in that the Head of Plant II leads other custodial staff and the positions in the class are assigned to a larger elementary or middle school site.
