Radiology Technologist/UKHC

The Radiology Technologist (WEPP) will provide diagnostic imaging for patients to assist the patient’s physician in expediting needed care. Job duties include performing or assisting in procedures per department protocols; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; utilizing proper procedures for identifying images, patients, and marking images correctly for interpretation; and ordering exams that match the procedures being performed. Customer service is essential, and this position will address patient needs with age-specific criteria, from neonates to geriatrics. Call is required for this position, and the incumbent must meet the callback standards established for General Radiology. This position will also assist in a QA review to maintain professional standards for themselves and student technologists whom they are called upon to assist. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $26.47/hour. All pay rates will be based on the candidate’s experience. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus: $15,000 for new graduates (less than one year of experience) and $30,000 for candidates with one or more years of experience, contingent upon a 24-month employment commitment.
