Part Time BTS Elementary Art Teacher

POSITION: PART-TIME BTS ELEMENTARY ARTS TEACHER ~ DISCOVERY ELEMENTARY

(APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER)

This is a performing arts position. (Requires Elementary Teaching Certification and an arts level 2 endorsement in Dance, Drama, or Music)

Beverley Taylor Sorenson (BTS) Arts Learning Program funded in part by the Utah State Legislation to provide Arts education to elementary students. BTS teachers in Uintah School District will be scheduled to provide art-form learning where needed.

District Expectations For Teachers

• Demonstrate knowledge of the art form for which he/she is responsible.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide effective instruction to students at multiple schools.
• Demonstrate the ability to connect art form learning with other core subjects.
• Work collaboratively with all staff to ensure an environment conducive to learning, safety, and positive relationships.
• Maintain professional expectations by attending required meetings and providing documentation of instructional efforts and continued education.
  
  

Your application will be complete when you provide the following:

• Copy of Utah certification or a letter of eligibility from the Certification Office at the Utah State Office of Education.
• Provision of undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
• Minimum of three letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a direct supervisor.
