Under general supervision, prepares relevant curriculum for competency-based instruction in an open-entry/open-exit or lecture environment for a relevant industry. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Encourage growth through industry connectivity
2. Prepare relevant curriculum for competency-based instruction
3. Develop and maintain current program and course outlines, goals and objectives
4. Align class curriculum with industry standards
5. Administer Utah State Board of Education skills tests when teaching secondary students
6. Actively assist in accreditation processes
7. Advise, evaluate, and record student progress
8. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry
9. Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area
10. Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
11. Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships
12. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area
13. Foster a productive learning and training environment
14. Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits
15. Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
16. Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines
17. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
18. Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid class A CDL license with no restrictions
Minimum of five (5) years of commercial driving experience
Certified Journeyman license
Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Journeyman line worker
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in power line construction
Working knowledge of poweline operations equipment
Woking knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code
Must successfully pass criminal background check.
Work Location: Vernal Campus
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday classes will be held in the evenings (Days of the week may vary). Friday and Saturday classes will be held in the daytime for the climbing portion of the program.
