What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Biller Noncertified position at Uintah Basin Healthcare?
The insurance billing specialist provides timely and accurate payment collection from insurance carriers and or agencies in a professional, courteous, confidential, and timely manner. As an insurance billing specialist, you will validate claims, submit claims, appeal claims, verify patient eligibility, and follow up on claims that are outstanding and unpaid by the insurance. You will work closely with other departments to correct coding/billing errors and assist our patient financial advocates with patient questions. You are assisting patients when an issue or information is needed from them to process their claims.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be able to work independently, pleasant personality, good communication skills, computer experience, and be a self-starter.
- A highly motivated individual with experience and background in medical billing is preferred.
