What are the responsibilities and job description for the VTC Administrator position at UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies?
Bowhead seeks a VTC Administrator to support our customer on the PICRD II contract in Colorado Springs, CO.
Physical Demands:
- Provide VTC/AV hardware support, setup, and troubleshooting for various systems (NIPRNET, SIPRNET, COE JWICS, GWAN, GOLD).
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate VTCs for Unclassified, Classified, and JWICS networks.
- Determine equipment and setup requirements, perform technical review of requests, and ensure compliance with operational guidance.
- Schedule VTCs, establish accounts with DISA and JWICS, and coordinate with customers and facilitators. Provide customer service and technical assistance, monitor and support equipment performance during events.
- Ensure sufficient lead time to establish connections to VTC sites and inform Action Officer where presentations are stored for later use.
- Coordinate with remote site participants to enable smooth global connection.
- Troubleshoot connection issues, to include external connections, and maintain extensive knowledge of Multi-Point Conferencing Units (MCU) resources and limitations.
- Maintain direct in-person support for priority presentations and briefings and document deficiencies and escalate trouble tickets as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current VTC/AV technologies. Maintain a baseline of VTC capabilities, provide preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs).
- Track and manage VTC/AV equipment, update control system and touch panel files, and ensure firmware updates are applied.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years advanced experience in engineering and installing VTC/AV systems and installing VTC/AV systems, knowledge of how to upload Crestron and AMX control programing and knowledge, and DSP audio installation for VTC/AV system.
- Excellent customer service skills including customer relationships, responsiveness, and timely resolution of customer issues, and the ability to problem-solve creatively in time-sensitive situations.
- Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 411.
- Experience supporting and maintaining VTC/AV equipment and scheduling on the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, COE JWICS, GWAN, and GOLD networks.
- Experience engineering and installing VTC/AV systems.
- Sec certification.
- Comp TIA Security is required.
- Crestron Programmer Certification, Crestron Technician Certification, Extron Control Professional Certification, Extron Network AV Specialist, Extron Authorized Programmer Certification, and Thinklogical Technology 300 are highly preferred.
- Python 3.x proficiency is highly preferred.
