CMTS MTS NETWORK MAP COORDINATOR (DOT):
Bowhead is seeking a CMTS MTS Network Map Coordinator to provide subject matter expertise and direct staff support to the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS) located in Washington, DC (DOT Headquarters). This position will play a central role in CMTS’s effort to develop a U.S. MTS Network Map and will support key maritime data, supply chain, infrastructure, and inter-agency coordination activities.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location.

MTS Network Map Development
- Create an inventory of existing CMTS agency tools, products, and online services
- Conduct a literature review of external transportation tools and resources used by stakeholders
- Develop a project plan for the MTS Network Map, including RFQ/RFP preparation and cost estimation
- Provide subject matter expertise relating to maritime data and visualization tools
- GIS experience is beneficial but not required
- Provide staff support to the CMTS Executive Secretariat on activities related to the Network Map initiative
- Serve as the primary coordination point for CMTS inter-agency teams contributing to the effort
- Support additional CMTS initiatives in maritime data, supply chain, infrastructure, and workforce areas as needed
- Initiate outreach with stakeholders as directed
- Represent CMTS at relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Coordinate communications and engagement for network map-related activities
- Travel as needed
- BA/S in relevant field preferred.
- Strong subject matter expertise in maritime transportation, marine data, supply chain, infrastructure, or a closely related field
- Experience supporting federal programs, interagency collaboration, or technical project development
- Ability to manage data inventories, analyze tools and systems, and develop project plans
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a multi-agency federal initiative
- Experience with GIS tools or spatial data analysis (per SOW)
- Familiarity with CMTS or other national-level transportation system initiatives
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
