The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC COD) invites applications for part-time or full-time (.20 FTE to 1.0 FTE) faculty to serve as a Visiting Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. This non-tenure track position will support the Pre-Doctoral and/or Advanced Prosthodontics program and offers an exceptional opportunity to teach outstanding pre-doctoral and post-graduate students while working collaboratively with faculty and staff at a leading urban academic health sciences center.

We are seeking experienced academic leaders in dental education who will build upon our established educational foundation and advance the mission of the Department and the College. The selected individuals will have primary responsibilities in the supervision and clinical instruction of pre-doctoral and/or postgraduate dental students, with additional opportunities for research, course directorship, and participation in faculty dental practice.

Duties & Responsibilities

Teach in pre-clinical and clinical courses in the DMD program

Teach and participate in a variety of seminars and conferences in the department

Advise, mentor and direct pre-doctoral students

Clinical responsibilities in the pre-doctoral educational program

Collaborate with faculty to establish strong and positive pre-doctoral learning environment

Participate in college/department faculty meetings and committees

Participate in public services such as faculty practice

Teach in pre-clinical and clinical courses

Clinical responsibilities in the pre-doctoral educational program

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Provide direct clinical supervision of Advanced Prosthodontics residents and their patients

Advise, mentor and direct Advanced Prosthodontics residents

Collaborate with faculty to establish strong and positive post-graduate learning environment

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
