Position Summary
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full time or part time Physician Assistant. Physician Assistants will work at our OSF Little Company of Mary site where we are looking to complete an already excellent group of APPs and physicians working together. The hospital is located in Evergreen Park on the south side of Chicago, addressing the needs of an underserved population. The Emergency Department is newly renovated and also serves as a core site for the UIC Emergency Medicine Residency.Job responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
●Managing the care of patients within assigned area and/or area of expertise within the parameters of medical staff privileges
●Working collaboratively with other providers in the care of patients, providing education to patients, families, and significant others
●Integrating evidence-based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision-making.
●Acting as a resource for clinical staff in the practice setting. Participates in the educational experience of learners.
●Leading multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated delivery of patient care services
●Completing a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years that are approved by an accrediting agency. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
