The Office Support Associate enhances the effectiveness of UIC Law faculty and visiting scholars by providing comprehensive office support. This position coordinates and supports faculty committee operations, including managing appointments and assignments, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized systems for meeting minutes, reports, templates, and archival records.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to faculty in course preparation, scholarship, research, and committee work, including calendar management, correspondence, reports, and record maintenance.
- Support accreditation, compliance, and reporting efforts, including Faculty Handbook updates and preparation of budget and faculty-related reports.
- Coordinate reimbursement processing, expense tracking, and maintain organized faculty databases and filing systems
- Coordinate faculty and academic events, serving as liaison with campus partners and managing logistics from planning through execution.
- Provide administrative support to faculty committees, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minutes, documentation, and archive management.
- Assist with faculty hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes for full-time and adjunct faculty.
- Coordinate office operations and facilities functions, including office assignments, space planning, supplies, and organization of common areas.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
