What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Education Program Coordinator - Residency, College of Medicine position at uic?
The Medical Education Program Coordinator in collaboration with the Education Office Manager will coordinate all Psychiatry education programs, supervise one or more staff members of the education, manage program compliance and UIC affiliation, and oversee the trainee student life cycle including recruitment, orientation, and graduation activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee educational programs compliance with accreditation organizations and relevant boards and certifying organizations.
- Supervise one or more employees in the education office in the administrative support of the education programs.
- Coordinate the annual recruitment, orientation, and graduation activities including preparation of program and awards.
- Manage and plan trainees’ clinical and didactic schedules and evaluations accordingly.
- Coordinate and support compliance of trainees onboarding and offboarding at all clinical sites, including university compliance standards and initial onboarding during orientation and the final offboarding process.
- Manage UIC affiliation sites for medical students and GME programs.
- Manage awards process to assist trainees in applying for national awards from national organizations.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
