Position Summary
Planning, Sustainability and Project Management (PSPM) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Hourly (GH) for Business Services. This position will provide crucial support to the team responsible for the financial management of the university's remodeling and construction projects. The GH will assist in maintaining efficient departmental accounting records, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial documentation related to construction and remodeling projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Record Management: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date departmental accounting records for construction and remodeling projects administered by PSPM.
Documentation Processing:Receive, review, and process various financial documents related to construction and remodeling projects, including contracts, change orders, requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
Data Entry and Tracking:Enter financial data into departmental systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. Monitor project-related financial data, track expenses, and reconcile financial records as needed.
Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, vendors, and university staff, to gather necessary financial documentation and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to PSPM as needed, including organizing files, maintaining records, and assisting with other related tasks.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
