The Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC), Intervention Study to support several research studies. The CRC will work on various projects under the direction of multiple principal investigators within IJR. IJR’s mission is to develop and promote effective policy and practices to prevent mental health difficulties and relieve the mental health burden of children and families living in high poverty urban communities through research, teaching, and direct service.

Job Responsibilities (Essential Duties): 

With guidance, training, and supervision from the Primary Investigator, candidates must be able to: act as an intervention group facilitator during active phases of the trial, assist with recruitment, data collection, and project management within the Chicago site of the trial. Candidates will oversee resource development to support ongoing clinical care, curriculum development for both clinical and community care models, and assist in oversight/supervision of study staff, volunteers, and collaborative teams. Furthermore, the candidates will deliver educational material via virtual and in-person formats (workshops, trainings, community meetings, and support services).

Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. A minimum of one-year related research experience (clinical/community research). Knowledge of research concepts, practices, and procedures. Working proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in Spanish language (native or acquired). Must be willing to complete required CPS background check (fingerprinting). Must be willing to work evening hours as needed to meet project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with youth and family populations. Interests in macro level influence on health and mental health. Experience in curriculum development or delivery of standardized curriculum content in community settings.

Benefits and Compensation:

The previously determined salary range for this position is $52,500.00 to $62,500.00.
