Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Advisor to support our Project Manager (PM) at a construction site. The ideal candidate will assist in client and subcontractor meetings, provide operational support to the PM when issues arise, and manage local permitting processes. This role requires a strong construction background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Your duties will include:
- Assist the Project Manager (PM) with daily operations at the construction site.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support the PM in problem resolution when unexpected issues arise on-site.
- Track project progress, document updates, and maintain communication between all stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the PM, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Provide regular updates to all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and prevent delays.
- Handle local permits and licensing required for the project.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and OSHA construction regulations.
- Support job site purchasing (materials, equipment, and supplies) and maintain records of contracts, purchase orders (POs), and project-related documents.
Your qualifications are as follows:
- 3 years of experience in construction site coordination or project support.
- Background in construction management, engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
- Familiar working in a construction environment preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and local authorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and compliance standards is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized
