CPAs live in spreadsheet hell. They juggle 47 browser tabs, copy-paste between systems, and lose hours to workflows designed in the 90s. As our Product Designer, you'll reimagine how accountants interact with AI agents — making the complex simple, the manual automatic, and the impossible intuitive.

You won't just make things pretty. You'll design workflows that prevent errors before they happen, surfaces that show what matters and hide what doesn't, and interactions that make AI feel like a trusted colleague, not a black box.

What you'll do

• Design for complexity: Create interfaces that handle thousands of transactions, multiple entities, and intricate workflows without overwhelming users.
• Tame the AI: Design how humans interact with AI agents — from delegation patterns to trust signals to intervention points.
• Obsess over workflows: Shadow CPAs during month-end close, map their chaos, then design elegant solutions that actually work.
• Ship at startup speed: Design, prototype, test, iterate — all in the same week. Perfect is the enemy of shipped.
• Own the design system: Build components that scale, patterns that persist, and standards that let us move fast without breaking things.
• Simplify the sophisticated: Turn complex accounting concepts into interfaces that junior staff can use and partners can trust.
• Design for delight: Find moments to surprise and delight in workflows that have been painful for decades.
• Collaborate intensely: Work directly with engineers, product, and customers to ensure designs ship as intended.
• Measure what matters: Track how your designs impact efficiency, errors, and user satisfaction — then iterate relentlessly.

• Systems thinker: You see patterns, build frameworks, and design holistically rather than screen by screen.
• User obsessed: You've done real user research, watched people struggle, and felt their pain viscerally.
• High-density designer: You know how to design information-dense interfaces that don't feel overwhelming.
• Tool agnostic: Figma, Sketch, Framer — you use whatever ships fastest. (We use Figma.)
• Prototyping machine: You can create interactive prototypes that feel real enough to test with users.
• AI curious: Excited about designing human-AI collaboration, not intimidated by new interaction paradigms.
• Business minded: You understand that good design drives revenue, retention, and referrals.
• Speed demon: You embrace constraints, ship quickly, and iterate based on real usage.
• Accounting-friendly: Bonus points if you've designed for finance/accounting users or understand debits and credits.
