A great UHY client is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to support billing, collections, and account resolution activities. This is a hands-on role focused on medical billing, AR management, and direct communication with patients and insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate collections.
The Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist role is an onsite position based in Howell, MI. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 4 months, with the potential to transition into a hybrid arrangement following successful training and demonstrated performance.
Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable functions including billing, posting, and account reconciliation
- Perform patient and commercial insurance collections calls
- Follow up on outstanding balances and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate documentation of account activity and communications
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Support general AR and billing workflows within the organization
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of collections and payments
Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist Requirements
- Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable required
- Prior experience with patient and commercial collections calls
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and follow-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time during initial training period
