A great UHY client is seeking a Corporate Payroll Specialist to join their team in Novi, MI. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity.
The Corporate Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll across multiple business units and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Corporate Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws
- Reconcile payroll transactions and ensure proper classification
- Process tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposits
- Prepare and assist with local, state, and federal filings (monthly, quarterly, and year-end, including W-2s)
- Respond to outside agency requests and unemployment inquiries
- Analyze payroll and HRIS processes to recommend efficiency improvements
- Support Accounts Payable with daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end tasks
Corporate Payroll Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to commute to Novi, MI (onsite Monday–Friday)
