International Tax Manager

A great UHY client is seeking an International Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong corporate and international tax knowledge, experience managing complex tax compliance and reporting, and excellent stakeholder management and project delivery skills.

The International Tax Manager role is a onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

International Tax Manager Responsibilities

• Manage tax affairs and obligations for entities across an assigned international region.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance activities, ensuring tax computations, returns, and payments are accurate and submitted on time.
• Manage year-end tax accounting, tax provisions, and financial reporting activities.
• Review tax calculations, supporting documentation, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead and support international tax projects, strategic initiatives, and business transactions.
• Partner with external tax advisers and auditors on compliance, reporting, and tax-related matters.
• Support transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, group structure planning, and other international tax issues.
• Identify, assess, and manage tax risks while supporting appropriate controls and documentation.
• Monitor relevant tax law developments and assess their potential impact on the business.
• Build strong working relationships with regional finance teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide technical tax guidance and practical recommendations to support business decisions.
• Mentor and support junior team members while promoting high-quality work and continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

International Tax Manager Requirements

• ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional tax or accounting qualification.
• Strong understanding of corporate and international tax principles.
• Experience managing complex tax compliance, tax reporting, and year-end tax accounting obligations.
• Experience with tax provisions, tax computations, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of cross-border tax structures and transfer pricing preferred.
• Experience supporting international tax advisory, tax strategy, or tax projects preferred.
• Experience working within a large, complex, multinational organization or professional services environment preferred.
• Exposure to partnerships or regulated industries is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and tax research skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, competing deadlines, and complex tax matters simultaneously.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to quality, process improvement, and effective teamwork.
