Division Controller

A great UHY client is seeking a Divisional Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience with a good foundational accounting acumen, relevant service industry experience and strong communication skills.

The Divisional Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Divisional Controller Position Qualifications

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and the general ledger.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of financial consolidation across multiple business entities.
• Track and optimize cash flow, liquidity, and overall working capital.
• Prepare, evaluate, and interpret monthly financial statements and key performance indicators.
• Lead the annual budgeting cycle and manage ongoing forecasting activities.
• Establish, monitor, and enhance internal controls, policies, and financial procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and coordinate activities with external audit partners.
• Provide timely financial insights to senior leaders and contribute to long-term planning efforts.
• Supervise and develop regional finance personnel while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational, HR, and executive teams to advance divisional priorities.

Divisional Controller General Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years in a senior accounting, finance leadership, or controller-level capacity.
• Demonstrated experience supporting multi-location operations generating $50M in annual revenue.
• Background in a customer service–oriented or field-based services industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements, and tax considerations.
• Proficiency with modern accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and ethical standards.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to support dispersed operational teams.
