A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial organization within a specialized and evolving industry. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to oversee accounting operations, support continued growth, and partner closely with ownership in a fast-paced environment.
The Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Controller Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational decision-making
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Work within QuickBooks Online and other systems to manage financial data
- Collaborate across the organization to support a growing, multi-entity structure
Controller Requirements
- Experience in a large cannabis organization ($50M revenue preferred)
- Strong accounting leadership experience in a Controller or similar role
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required; Cannex or Leaf Link is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- CPA preferred but not required
- Demonstrated longevity and desire for long-term growth

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
