Accountant

A great UHY client is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience and Sage Intacct experience (preferred, but not required).

The Accountant role is a hybrid position. This is a client direct hire position.

Accountant Responsibilities

• Perform cash reconciliations, including daily and weekly bank activity and system imports.
• Support and administer the corporate card program, including transaction review and oversight.
• Prepare and file indirect tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable, assisting with invoice processing, payments, and issue resolution.
• Review vendor statements monthly and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform inventory valuation, reconciliations, and related analysis.
• Complete balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, including variance analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries.
• Assist with annual audit preparation, including schedules, documentation, and auditor requests.
• Partner with internal teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting Accounts Payable processes and vendor management.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting and indirect tax filings preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
