Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. We strive to meet and respond to the needs of our community by offering a continuum of care and evidenced-based programs at multiple locations within our region. We have behavioral health facilities and services located in Kirkland, Everett and Monroe, Washington. Mental and behavioral health challenges are a growing concern within our communities. Position Summary:

The Utilization Review Coordinator performs all functions related to use of hospital resources and reimbursement. Utilization Review functions as a liaison between payers, the business office, and the treatment team, providing information and feedback to assist in optimum patient care and reimbursement

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mental health, social work or a minimum of an ADN degree in nursing required. BSN or Master's preferred.

 

Experience: 

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in behavioral health utilization preferred. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years previous direct clinical experience in a psychiatric health care setting, required.

 

Additional Requirements:  

  • Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certifications provided by facility upon hire.
