Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary
The unit clerk is responsible for the clerical functions on the unit, acts as a receptionist for the program, and is under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager. In addition, the clerk will prepare charts for admission, assist with discharge paperwork distribution.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in a hospital clerical role
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Has organizational skills
- Skills in organizing and prioritizing work/time
- Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and writing
- Ability to use standard office equipment
- Ability to read and to write legible
- Ability to work well with others in difficult situations
Work Hours: This is an in-person position for day shift 7a-3:30p. This position requires every other weekend and holiday rotation.
