Diamond Grove Center is currently searching for an experienced Math Teacher to become a part of our team.This position will be fulltime, hours will consist of 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday thru Friday this is a salaried position. We are looking for a committed teacher  who will be  responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements.  The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach students and create a relationship of mutual trust.   

Diamond Grove Center is a 85 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital. What Will the Math Teacher do? 

• Provide individualized instruction using Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath 
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations  
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities
• Provide targeted interventions designed by Edgenuity  
• Write Individualized Education Plans and Service Plans 
• Document student behavior on Q-15 Sheets 
• Maintain a safe learning environment 
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

1. A bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred from an accredited four-year college or university in the subject area to be taught (Special Education) and possession of a valid MS “A” teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught as required by the Department of Education and agree to obtain the EmD Certification within one year from hired date.
2. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
