Position Description: 

Under the direction of the Clinical Director and/or the Program Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care for patients with wounds. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan implement and evaluate the care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The RN provides care within the framework of the California Nurse Practice Act and applicable Standards for Practice, and adheres to Center for Wound Care and Lancaster Community Hospital policies and procedures. The RN demonstrates competence in key job areas, including but not limited to the examples listed herein.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Two (2) years previous nursing experience in acute care or wound care preferred.
• Experience in ambulatory care setting desirable.
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• BLS and ACLS (current on hire)
• PALS or NRP (current or obtained within 90 days of employment) in required specialty.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
