 Job summary: from job description: Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administers intravenous fluids, blood products, and other medications safely via peripheral and central catheters and ports
• Identifies, assesses, and responds to problems through patient assessment and intervention. Evaluates actual or potential health problems
• Develops and participates in educating patients and their support persons about post-discharge care and expectations
• Initiates patient care meetings with the health care team to revise the patient’s plan of care on an ongoing basis as their condition warrants

• Active and unencumbered Nevada RN license (BSN degree preferred)
• Minimum 1 year minimum Infusion or Transfusion room nursing experience
• Active Basic Life Support Certification required
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card required within 6 months of hire
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) strongly preferred
• Active Acute Care Life Support Certification preferred
