Quick Facts
- Full-Time employed position with a high-volume service with a heavy focus on breast imaging
- Join an existing staff of three physicians; 2 MAs; eight dedicated breast technologists; two breast ultrasound techs; Nurse Navigator and ABUS technologists; and dedicated registration, intake and scheduling staff
- Current volume averages approximately 80 patients per day in office
- Join a diverse team in an academic setting equipped with the latest technology
- Position includes a non-tenured track appointment
- Multimodality approach to screening for breast cancer including DBT, ABUS, MRI and BSGI
- Average volume includes approximately 40 screening exams, 35 diagnostic exams, 8-10 ABUS exams and 6 MRI exams per day. Additionally, there are approximately 12-15 DEXA exams performed at the outpatient center
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncology and nurse navigators
- Plain film weekend call; approximately 8 total per year
- Participate in tumor board discussions within an academic setting while working with residents and breast imaging fellows

- Candidates must be fellowship-trained in Breast Imaging
- Candidates should be proficient in minimally invasive breast biopsy procedures in all modalities
- Valid medical license in the District of Columbia by time of appointment
- Interest in academic medicine and teaching
