POSITION SUMMARY: 

To provide psychological services to the patients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education/Training: 

            Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.

Experience:

            One or more years experience working with patients with needs similar to the patients served by this facility's programs is preferred.  Advanced training/experience in assessment measures, personality, and neurocognitive.

Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed by the state of NC as Psychologist with HSP-P status
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of appropriate assessment and evaluation tools and tests, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Knowledge of acute adult, adolescent, and child psychological disorders
• Advanced knowledge of principles of abnormal psychology
• Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
