What You’ll Do
As a Phlebotomist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care and laboratory accuracy. You’ll collect specimens, maintain data integrity, and ensure smooth communication across departments. Responsibilities include:
- Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection using proper techniques and age‑appropriate devices
- Ensuring safe handling and proper collection methods to maintain specimen integrity and quality
- Following correct procedures for labeling, accessioning, and delivering specimens to the appropriate department
- Maintaining the specimen collection component of the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Performing patient registration functions for courier specimens
- Responding promptly and professionally to STAT, ASAP, NOW, and outpatient collection requests
- Communicating effectively with departments and alerting appropriate staff regarding STAT orders
This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Education / Certification / Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy certification (CPT) or health‑related experience preferred; on‑the‑job training may be provided
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Typing and basic computer skills required
