The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for the accounts receivable data input, insurance follow-up, financial counseling, and self-pay arrangements.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Effectively follows up with insurance companies on claim status and documents pertinent information in Med Series 4 notes.
- Consistently works with UR staff on approved/denied days that are in dispute with insurance carriers.
- Utilizes work lists/aging reports to follow up on all accounts in 30 days of last follow up. Expectation all accounts are to be reviewed and noted every 30 days.

Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Experience
- Two years of work experience, preferably in health care accounts receivable area.
Other Skills
- Must be computer literate (Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of third party reimbursement and Medicaid reimbursement.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner.
