Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025!

 

When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.

 

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Lead Technologist (Full-Time)

 

Our ideal candidate will work as the Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist reporting to the designated leader within the Imaging Department.  As a Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist, you will administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures. The technologist will be required to perform Computed Tomography imaging (attenuation correction only and/or diagnostic) as ordered in conjunction with PET exams. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Graduate of an A.M.A approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Registered NM/ PET technologist with ARRT (CT) and CNMT.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Current ARRT or CNMT required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered NM and acute care experience preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
