Position Summary: LVN/LPN 

SUMMARY: The LVN functions under the supervision of the charge nurse or registered nurse delegating any tasks within the scope of practice for an LVN. The LVN is responsible for providing safe, compassionate and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health care needs, utilizing the principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment. This must be obtained prior to providing patient care.
