The ECT Nurse is responsible for providing pre/post ECT care for the patient as per department policy.
.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Starts and removes IVs.
- Monitors vital signs during recovery period.
- Checks equipment to ensure operational status.
- Assists in preparing and organizing ECT treatment area.
- Report unsafe conditions.
- Provides age-specific communication, limit setting and interventions.
- Provides health education to patients and their families.
- Interact with patients and staff in professional manner, promotes teamwork and demonstrates Service Excellence
- Attend mandatory staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas (or licensed in a compact state).
- Proficient IV insertion.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
