Lead Respiratory Therapist – Full Time, Varied Shift (Nights & Weekends Preferred)

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you’ll play a key role in both patient care and departmental leadership. You’ll ensure smooth operations, mentor staff, and serve as a liaison throughout the hospital to promote unified, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities include:

• Serving as a resource for RRTs, CRTs, and Respiratory Therapy Interns
• Acting as a preceptor and mentor for students and new team members
• Assisting the Department Director with scheduling, processes, policies, and current practice
• Facilitating orientation and competency validation for new hires
• Obtaining and evaluating patient data through chart review and physical assessment
• Delivering safe, accurate respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary difficulties
• Supporting cohesive communication and collaboration across hospital departments

This role is ideal for a clinically strong therapist who thrives in a leadership capacity and is willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory program with at least an associate degree
• Current Oklahoma RCP license or Provisional Letter (valid until Board meeting date listed)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and maintained
• BLS required
• ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire; annual recertification required
• SECURE training required within six (6) months of hire
• NRP preferred

Experience

• 3–5 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Typing and basic computer skills required
