Position Summary:
Responsible for the configuration and installation of end user devices including workstations, laptops, printers and other peripherals. Support, troubleshoot and resolve end user hardware and software issues and provide recommendations as required in a positive and efficient manner. Configures and troubleshoots user and computer accounts and profiles. Installs, configures and maintains printers and print servers. Answers Help Desk phone and checks ticketing system, creating and assigning tickets to network or analyst level support as appropriate. Maintains ticket tracking software and verifies proper follow up and documentation on assigned tickets in a timely manner. Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports. Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of all computer hardware, peripherals, spare parts and software owned by the organization. Performs after hours and weekend support, systems installation and maintenance, as occasionally needed.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs in-depth analysis and maintenance on PCs, laptops, peripheral equipment, and other computer related hardware at multiple locations. Configures, installs, and supports laptops and PCs to include peripherals such as printers, scanners, Bluetooth and wireless devices.
- Uses a variety of hardware test equipment and remote access tools ( Altiris/Dameware) to diagnose various computer problems.
- Installs software and troubleshoots software problems.
- Assists with the research, evaluation, and testing of new hardware and software technologies to meet business and operational goals and objectives for River Oaks Hospital
- Creates and maintains a preventative maintenance program for IS related hardware and software for River Oaks Hospital

Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Computer hardware certification or Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any computer related field preferred. (Work experience and/or professional -certification may be substituted)
- Two to Three years’ experience, preferably in a health care setting, with strong knowledge of computers, printers, basic networking, Active Directory and business software applications.
- Strong Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Customer service oriented, attentive to details and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to handle multiple tasks, timelines and priorities in a fast paced environment.
