JOB SUMMARY: To support the medical records department through a variety of clerical, technical and related support services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews each request for information/copies of medical records to assure that the patient and/or guardian signed the authorization for release of information and that the authorization is completed in accordance with Federal and State laws, and hospital policy.
- Copies the requested records and assures that the copies are legible.
- Processes all discharges within 48 hours of discharge.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Three years of experience with Medical Records or a combination of related education and experience.
